Rosilea Davis Meyer, 83 of Spearfish, South Dakota, died on May 26, 2013, at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish.
Rosilea was born on June 15, 1929, to Albion Everard and Sylvia Ann Davis at the home of her Maternal Grandparents, John and Bertha Ferguson in Hoxie, Kansas. She lived in Hoxie until 1936 when she moved to Yuma, Colordao, where she met and married Edwin John Meyer on June 15, 1949. Their family enlarged by two children, Vickie Ann Meyer born November 26, 1953, and Rickie John Meyer born June 27, 1957. In 1958, they moved to Sundance, Wyoming, where Rosilea and Edwin worked a family cleaning/janitorial business for 39 years until they retired to Spearfish in 1997.
Rosilea is survived by her sister, Noralea Bickley of Otis, Colorado; brother, Allen E. (Patricia) Davis of Yuma; daughter Vickie Meyer-Olson of Lead, South Dakota; son, Rickie John Meyer of Rock Springs, Wyoming; four grandchildren, Spencer John (Malinda) Olson of Mariposa, California, Edwin J. (Kara) Olson of Deadwood, South Dakota, Brandy L. (Christopher) Millard of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Adam J. Meyer of Green River, Wyoming; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan R. Olson and Kalyin M. Olson of Mariposa, Kyla and Benjamin Olson of Deadwood, Francis S. and Caleb Millard of Rapid City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Edwin on July 25, 2011.
Graveside services will be a 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.
