The Upton-Sundance Patriots ended a three-game skid on Friday with a 53-6 shellacking of the Pine Bluffs Hornets. Jett Materi again led the offensive stats with 175 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries. Skyler Wagaman ran for 30 yards on six carries and added two rushing touchdowns as well as one touchdown reception. Hunter Woodard carried the ball twice for 15 yards and one touchdown.
Friday’s contest marked the final game of the regular season for the Patriots who finish with a 4-3 record and will enter the state playoffs as the third seed from the 1A East conference. They will take on 7-1 Cokeville in Cokeville on Friday at 1 p.m. Cokeville comes in as the 1A West conference number one seed.
