Patriots clobber Lingle

The Upton-Sundance Patriots quickly put last week’s difficult loss behind them the moment they stepped foot on the field again Friday.
Facing the 1-0 Lingle Doggers in Lingle, the Patriots used a dominating defense and special teams to help jump out to an early lead and never look back, coming away with a 28-6 victory over the Doggers.
Caleb Bush led all scorers with two rushing touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions.
Senior Kory Butts led the defensive effort with 14 tackles. Jet Materi finished with 10 and Trent Bush had 9.
The combined team traveled to Wright on Monday for a JV matchup and was able to keep their winning streak going with a 30-14 victory over the Panthers.
Next up for the Patriots is Friday night’s Upton homecoming game against NSI at 7 p.m.
The Sundance homecoming game will be held on September 28 in Sundance.
