Organizers for this year’s annual Crook County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner knew they were fortunate to have Liz Cheney on hand to speak at their annual event but they got even more it turned out that Liz’s father, former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, also made the trip.
Speaking at the event, held at the community center, the elder Cheney spoke briefly about his life as a retired politician but left the main speaking duties daughter Liz who shared her thoughts on the future of the party and national politics.

Public meetings to address Black Hills elk

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold two public meetings to address population objectives for elk in the Black Hills. The meetings will also include information and presentations on proposed 2013 big game hunting seasons, and public input will be taken. The dates and times for these meetings are as follows:
