Local write-in winners announced

Three seats remained unfilled after last week’s general election, each of them requiring a tally of write-in votes. The county canvassing board met on Thursday to determine which candidates received the most nominations.
For the Crook County School District, no candidate appeared on the ballot for the Moorcroft Trustee position. The write-in candidate for the seat is Don Clonch, who received 84 of the 281 votes.
The Moorcroft Trustee seat was also unfilled for the Crook County Medical Services District. Shone Gray received three of the 147 votes, winning the write-in for the position.
Finally, the Crook County Museum District required a third name to take on the role of Museum District Trustee. Lorie Marchant received 81 of the 157 votes.
