PA man accused of eight-year poaching spree

A Pennsylvania man stands accused of six counts of poaching within the Crook County area across a period of eight years. Between 2008 and 2014, Emil J. Silva allegedly took game animals without a license from the McDonald Ranch.
Silvi, born in 1937, resides in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. The citations filed by Game Warden Chris Teter include four counts of intentionally taking a white-tailed deer without a license and two of wasting a white-tailed deer.
The case is currently with Crook County Circuit Court, pending disposition.

Festive celebrations took place all across Sundance Friday. Merry-makers enjoyed a day of open houses at businesses across town, followed by a chili feed hosted by Crook County EMS, a candy contest at the museum and the Festival of Trees at the library, accompanied by all-day appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The first drawing of the annual Chamber of Commerce raffle took place, with additional drawings scheduled over the next two Fridays. The Parade of Lights lit up the streets in the evening, with the winners including Hillside Pharmacy/Virgil Virchow for best use of theme, Sundance Masonic Lodge for best organization, Croell Redi-Mix for best business, Sundance Country Club for best youth and Black Iron Guns for most unique.
