Mason Neiman took first place with a time of 22:41, Trey Clarkson came in second with a time of 23:37 and Josh McLaughlin came third at 23:43. Below are the top winners for each category.

The 5k was sponsored through the generosity of several individuals and local businesses including: Powder River Energy Cooperation, Sundance State Bank, Madington Enterprises, Impressions, Sundance Dillon’s Hardware, Off the Grid Sports, Wal-Mart, Hillside Pharmacy, Deckers, Subway, and Meyer and Dana. Door prizes were donated by Sherry Haiar, Sundance Clayworks, Impressions, Madington Enterprises, Rushmore Mountain Sports and Mary’s Meals.

Mary’s Meals sets up school feeding projects in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education. On average, it costs $16.80 to feed a child one daily meal in a place of learning for a whole school year. Through the generosity of the sponsors and participants, the Sundance Mary’s Meals 5k run has raised $2,432 dollars for Mary’s Meals. This will provide 145 children with one meal a day for a school year.
