Mary C. Rohrback was born January 4, 1917, on the family farm in the Reliance area to John and Alexandria (Hieb) Rohrback. She attended country school near Reliance and being the oldest of eight children she left school to assist in raising her siblings and work on the farm. Mary married David Frame on January 25, 1936, in Kennebec, South Dakota. They lived with family on the Frame homestead until moving to their present home where they lived happily raising their four children Jean, Ron, Glenn and Duane. Mary was a very active member in the Reliance Methodist Church. Mary’s life was centered around her children and the farm.
Mary passed away on September 26, 2012, at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain at the age of 95 years. Gratefully sharing her life are one daughter, Jean (Charles) Hoehn of Sussex, New Jersey; one son, Ron (Janet) of Aladdin, Wyoming; one sister Anna Martin of Kannapolis, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, David on January 31, 1994; two sons, Glenn and Duane; four sisters, Selma, Tillie, Bertha and Emma; and two brothers, Adam and Alvin.
