Mary A. Krenz, 71, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012, at her residence. Mary was born May 20, 1941, to Julius and Anna (Finch) Hauber in Spearfish, South Dakota. She graduated from Hulett High School in 1959. Mary later graduated from Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish in 1963 and taught in both Wyoming and South Dakota. She was an active member in the Rapid City Lions Club and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her granddaughters.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Gwen (Michael) Elliott and Sue (Gregory) Maher, both of Rapid City; four granddaughters, Mikaya and Jaden Elliott, and Makenzie and Madison Maher, all of Rapid City; two sisters, Teresa Hauber of Kirkland, Washington, and Janet Bunger of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter in 1990.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City with Pastor Craig Wexler officiating. Interment followed at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
