Letter to the Editor – May 31

Dear Editor:

As a boy I hunted deer in the Bull Hill area — one of the best places then in Crook County to find big whitetail bucks.

Since that time I have had the opportunity to live in many parts of the US where there was mining and drilling. And most places where mining had played out there remained huge scars in the earth and piles of rusting equipment.

Don’t let that happen in the Bear Lodge.

Our country needs employment and minerals but it also demands strong environmental standards.

Please have the safeguards in place before allowing permits to mine Bull Hill.

Mike Lindsey
