The Sundance Lady Bulldogs came out on top Saturday, Sept. 24 when they visited Tongue River. The girls’ serves were dead on at 100% for Sabrina Whalen (25/25), Robin Moore (25/25) and Brooke Ingalls (11/11). Krista Drentlaw also came in strong with 13/14 serves for 93%. Whalen’s other contributions included 10 kills, 4 aces, 18 points, 7 digs and 4 stuff blocks. Allison Kerkvliet came in with 3 kills and 7 points and Moore added 14 kills, 2 aces, 14 points, 18 digs and 3 stuffs, while Ingalls put up 5 points, 7 digs and 2 stuffs. Drentlaw also had 4 assists, 1 ace, 6 points, 5 digs and 2 stuff blocks, while Kara Mouat helped out with 5 kills and 2 stuffs and Angela Reed added 1 stuff block. This match brought the girls to a 15-9 overall record (2-1 conference).

Tuesday, Sept. 27, the girls traveled to Newcastle to take on the “Coaches vs. Cancer” event where they fell to the home team. Whalen showed up with 15 kills, 12/12 serves, 5 digs and 2 stuffs and Moore came in with 5 kills, 22/24 serves, 2 aces, 7 digs and 1 stuff block. Kerkvliet brought in 3 kills and 5 digs while Ingalls served up 10 of 11 along with 2 aces and 4 digs. Drentlaw had a whopping 22 assists, 9/10 serves, 2 aces and 3 stuffs and Angela Reed added 4 kills and 1 stuff. Mouat served 100% (9/9) in this match.

On the road again Saturday, Oct. 1, the Lady Bulldogs headed to Big Horn where they dropped the first set, but came back in the next three to take down the home team. SaraAnn Ramos showed up with 10/11 serves, 2 aces and 8 points. Moore came in at 100% on serves (9/9), also adding 10 kills, 2 points, 30 digs and 4 stuffs, while Whalen brought 17 kills, 18/20 serves, 2 aces, 8 points, 23 digs and 4 stuffs. Drentlaw was right there again with the assists, coming in with 29, along with 19/20 serves, 1 ace, 7 points, 6 digs and 2 stuffs. Ingalls contributed 1 assist, 17/18 serves, 3 aces, 7 points, 9 digs and 2 stuff blocks. Mouat joined the party with 4 kills and 6 digs, while reed came in with 2 kills, 7 digs and 5 stuffs. This was a conference match, bringing the girls to a 3-1 record in conference play and 16-10 overall for the season. This Friday, Sundance will host Tongue River for Homecoming, playing at 5 and 6 p.m. Next Tuesday, the girls will again play at home, taking on Moorcroft.
