Kraig “Cody” Jones, 31, of Pine Haven, Wyoming, formerly of Shelbyville, Illinois, passed away at his home, Thursday January 31, 2013. His memorial service was Monday, February 4, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming, with Pastor Shayla Graham officiating.
Cody was born May 31, 1981, in Decatur, Illinois, to Lisa Maples and William Jones Jr. He was loved dearly by all who had the honor of knowing him. In 2000 he graduated from Charleston High School. One of his proudest moments was January 16, 2004, when his daughter, Alana was born. He loved his daughter with all his heart and soul. Cody enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed making people laugh and doing whatever he could to make your day better. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
He is survived by his daughter, Alana; his mother and step-father, Lisa and Eddie Maples of Pine Haven; his maternal grandparents, Sally and Bob Van Winsen of Branson, Missouri; his paternal grandparents, William and Lila Jones of Shelbyville; his sister, Jessica Sanderson, nieces Faith, Paige, and Brook of Moorcroft; his sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and JD Barton, nieces Lillyawna and Kayle of Upton, Wyoming; his brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Cassie Maples, nephews Alec, Gavin, and Mason of Gillette, Wyoming; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father William Jones Jr.
