Kent Darrell Watne

Kent Darrell Watne died at home in Sundance, Wyoming, on Sunday July 8, 2012. Kent was born in Fargo, North Dakota on April 28, 1941.

Kent worked for Coca-Cola and the railroad in Tacoma, Washington prior to a 20-plus year career with IBM as a typewriter repairman in Bremerton and Port Angeles. He owned and operated Independent Office Machines in Port Angeles before retiring to Sundance where he owned several rental properties. Kent served our nation in the National Guard as a tug boat engineer for six years. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and loved serving God and his Church.

Kent is survived by his ex-wife Rosie Watne, daughter Shawna Marie Spooner, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Mech Watne, and son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Rebecca Watne, grandchildren RaeAnne, Cassie, Maxwell, Lisa, Sydney, Mikayla, Christopher, great granddaughter Hadley. Kent leaves behind a brother Bruce Watne, his wife Carol, and daughters Kim and Kellee.

A Memorial Service was held at Keyport Bible Church in Keyport, Washington, Sunday, August 5, 2012.

In Sundance, the Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at the Sundance Community Church, 104 N. 10th , Sundance.
