Sundance Junior High Wrestlers traveled to Gillette on Tuesday, Oct. 30 for duals with Twin Spruce and Sage Valley. The wrestlers competed well and showed improvement from their performance on Saturday. In the first dual against Sage Valley the Sundance wrestlers were able to win 7 of the 11 matches with big wins coming from Cort Ingalls and Austin O’Brien. In the second dual of the evening the wrestlers outperformed Twin Spruce with 11 wins and only five losses. The evening ended on a positive note with an exciting match won by Logan Smith to finish off the dual. Next week the wrestlers travel to Newell and Wright for tournaments. Three of the wrestlers that posted wins against Twin Spruce were Logan Stefanich, Dominque Nelson and Logan Smith.
The junior high wresting team continued its season with a trip to Moorcroft on Saturday, November 3. For Sundance, Braylon Materi placed first and Cort Ingalls and Brendan Diede placed second. Placing third were Colton and Chance Watt and placing fourth were Michael Donaway and Tanner Hofland. Logan Stefanich and Preston Castor each placed fifth. Luke Sullivan, Logan Smith and Cody Miller each placed in the top eight. This week the wrestlers compete in tournaments in Newell and Wright.
