Jeremiah David Jundt

Jeremiah David Jundt, 22, of Gillette, Wyoming, died peacefully in his sleep on December 16, 2012, in Gillette.

Jeremiah was born on September 26, 1990, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to David and Tracey (Petersen) Jundt where they lived shortly until they moved to Gillette. Jeremiah spent his pre-school years through second grade in Gillette. In 1999 his family moved to his parent’s hometown of Sundance, Wyoming.

Jeremiah graduated from Sundance High School in 2009. During his high school career, Jeremiah played football for the Bulldogs, he was known as “Bullfrog” or the double nickel. Jeremiah was awarded Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2008. After graduation Jeremiah moved to Gillette to attend college. At the time of his death he was employed as a welder for James Welding of Gillette.

Jeremiah enjoyed time spent with family and friends, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart.

Jeremiah is survived by his parents, David and Tracey Jundt of Sundance; his only brother, Tyler Jundt of Gillette; paternal grandparents, Dwight “Woody” and Mary Ann Jundt of Sundance; maternal grandparents Carol Petersen of Sundance and Larry Petersen of Moorcroft, Wyoming; great-grandmother, Lucille Darlington of Upton, Wyoming; uncle and aunts, Josh and Tammy Jundt of Pine Haven, Wyoming, Daryl and Dawn Peplow of Sundance and Shelly Yeadon of Gillette; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Old High School Gym. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
