Jeanne was born February 25, 1929, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Eugene and Elizabeth Eldredge. She graduated from Central High School in St. Paul in 1947 and graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1951. She married Don Lee in Laramie, Wyoming, in August 1951. She lived in Laramie, St. Paul, Sanders, Arizona, Rock Springs, Medicine Bow, Wheatland, Wamsutter, Lusk and in Sundance since 1966.
She is survived by seven children, Edward Lee of Lander, Wyoming, Shannon (Mark) Farrier of Tillamook, Oregon, Andrea (Del) Humphrey of Sundance, Richard (Casey) Lee of Liberty Lake, Washington, Tammara (Joe) Price of Glenrock, Wyoming, Timothy (Janelle) Lee of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Dean (Kathy) Lee of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She had 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three more great-grandchildren on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Lee, two children, two great-grandchildren, and three sisters.
Her life revolved around family and volunteering activities such as sorority, Friends of the Library, the community blood drive, and the Red Hat Society. Her passion was actively being involved in the life of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her loving, caring, and humble spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance with Reverend JoAnne Moore officiating. Memorials have been established to the Crook County Library and for Crook County High School Athletics.
