James Eugene Franklin

James Eugene Franklin, 79 of Newcastle, Wyoming, passed away November 14, 2011, at the Weston County Health Care Services in Newcastle.
He was born in New Haven, Wyoming, to Earl and Viola (Denniston) Franklin.
James worked at the Hauber Mine and the Homestake Mine in Lead SD from 1966-1968. He also worked at the Homestake Mine in Creede, CO. from1968-1985, and did other odd jobs until his retirement in 1987.
He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, fishing, boating, and camping during his retirement.
Survivors include his daughters, Raelene (Kurtis) Wilson of Cleburne, Texas, and Roxy (Gayle) Weeg of Newcastle; five grandchildren, Justin Wilson and Trista (Wilson) Wiggins of Cleburne and Lonnie, Jesse and Colton Weeg of Newcastle; two great-grandchildren, Keyana Viken and Kenzington Wilson; two sisters, Goldie Mae and Laura Marie; a half sister, Doris Bollerslev of Sheridan, Wyoming; and one step-brother, Jim (Flossie) Bolin of Tecumseh, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Merton, Edward, Melvin and Albert; half brother, Lloyd Franklin; step-sister, Alice Bolin and a step-brother, Jack Bolin.
Upon his request, cremation has taken place and burial will be held at a later date.
