Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Greater Hulett Community Center in Hulett, Wyoming. Burial will take place at Moore Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Civic Center in Hulett.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to benefit the Great Hulett Community Center.
Jack was born July 9, 1936, to Henry and Jean (Roberts) Stinson in the New Haven, Wyoming, area. He attended country school and was raised in the rural Hulett area. He worked at the Hauber Mine in Crook County. He married Jean Kanode, to this union two children were born, Cleve and Steve, Jack and Jean later divorced. Jack moved to Riverton, Wyoming, and then to Denver, Colorado, with his sons, where Jack worked for a trailer house moving company. He married Nancy Hagaman in Denver. They moved to Seattle, Washington, briefly before returning to Denver. Following the death of his wife Nancy, Jack moved to Belle Fourche in 2005. In 2012 he became a resident of the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center following a stroke. Jack enjoyed working and cooking throughout his life and later enjoyed reading.
Jack is survived by his children, Steve (Martha) Stinson of Spearfish and Michelle (David) Hoar of Fredericktown, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cody and Ashley; siblings, Sam (Barbara) Stinson of Miles City, Montana, Donna (Eddie) Gantz of Alva, Wyoming, Wilma (John) Danko of Spearfish, Norma (Bob) Perry of Spearfish, Jay (Pam) Stinson of Moorcroft, Wyoming, and Russell (Sheri) Stinson of Hulett and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Nancy and son, Cleve.
