Homemakers tree voted “Best of the Forest”

Inyan Kara Homemakers Jesse Tschetter, JoAnne Moore and Sheri Moorman receive the Best of the Christmas Tree Forest award for the “Homemaker’s Delight” tree, decorated by the Club.

The Sundance Ministerial Association’s Christmas Tree Forest brightened the Courthouse Community Room on December 9 after the Parade of lights. Visitors voted on the nine trees and selected the Inya Kara “Homemaker’s Delight” tree as the “Best of the Forest.” Other trees were displayed by Crook County Community Juvenile Services, Rev. Dave and Sheri Moorman, Loretta Durfee, the Friends of the Crook County Library, Compassionate Care, Monday VBS Kids, Sundance United Methodist Youth, and the Crook County Museum.

The Ministerial Association also raffled off an afghan; the winner was Patrice Patterson. All proceeds of the forest will support the Association and the Food Bank.

The Sundance Community Hand Bell Choir, directed by Janet Lake, filled the Community Room with beautiful Christmas music. Bell ringers included Kathy Bjornestad, Amy Burr, Dave Moorman, Joyce Harmsen, Marilyn Rogers, Jill Mackey, Pat Brannock, Jan Eschedor and Arlene Olson.
