Steele Roping held two High School Team Roping Clinics for high school and junior high rodeo competitors on March 29 and 30 and April 5 and 6.

Thirty young people came with their families to attend the 2014 clinics. Due to the increase of interest in team roping at the high school level, Steele Roping decided to have two weekends rather than one in 2014 and the turnout was great! Students came from as close as Newcastle and as far as Lodge Grass, Montana, Windsor, Colorado and Colombe, South Dakota. The Crook County Fair Board allowed this event to be held at the indoor barn in Sundance.

The clinic taps off what will be an exciting High School Rodeo Season in Wyoming. Many area competitors are vying for the chance to go to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs! The first weekend of rodeo begins on April 12-13 in Laramie.

Local cowboys and cowgirls who compete are Peggy Garman, Bailey Matthews, Jacey Grieves, Callie Robinson, Lynden Nelson, Bryce Womack and Trace Steele.
