Fontella Frances Cleveland Kipp, age 92, passed away November 29, 2011, at the Hospice House in Vancouver, Washington, from a two-month struggle with heart failure. Her mind was sharp to the end.
Fontella was born October 25, 1919, to Ransom and Velma (Ernst) Cleveland on the Moreau River Ranch near Bixby, South Dakota. She attended and graduated from Sundance High School, Sundance, Wyoming. She married Clinton Kipp in 1940. They lived in Sundance and Moorcroft, Wyoming, before moving to Billings, Montana. They later moved to the Seattle, Washington area, and then to Vancouver, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifton; and a sister, Creeta (Cleveland) Schloredt. She is survived by her three sons, Gaylon, Irvin and Lanny and their families; a sister, Covenne (Cleveland) Trindle; and a brother, Fred Case.
