Erika L. Grimmelmann, 32, of Warwick, Rhode Island, (formerly Belle Fourche, South Dakota) passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2011, following lengthy illnesses.
Erika was born July 2, 1979, in Sioux City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Karl Grimmelmann and the late Cynthia Grimmelmann of Belle Fourche. She attended high school in Belle Fourche, Hulett, Wyoming, and Sundance, Wyoming, where she graduated in 1998. Erika worked for many years with her parents at radio stations KBFS-AM in Belle Fourche, and KYDT-FM in Sundance.
Erika leaves behind her son, Austin Wilson of Warwick, her fiancé, Aaron Yarlas of Warwick; her father and his wife Karl Grimmelmann and Maggie Logan of Belle Fourche; and her sister, Barbara Webb of Pensacola, Florida.
A public visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011, at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Cremation has taken place and a private scattering of ashes will take place next spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Artemis House in Spearfish would be appreciated.
