Doris Muriel Page-Huseby, 102, of Hulett, Wyoming, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Crook County Memorial Nursing Home in Sundance.
Muriel, as everyone knew her, was born June 1, 1911, to Harry and Blanche Page, in Indiana, she was five years old, when she, her mother and siblings; Maynard, Gerald, Kathryn, and Henry came to Wyoming. Her dad came ahead to find a place for them to live, which was about 2 ½ miles north of the Little Missouri River.
She first married Sanford Hedge, the couple had two children, Warren and Betty Hedger-Nicholson. Her second marriage was to Louis Huseby July 19, 1933, and they had two children, Eric and Donna Huseby-McAmis.
She was active at the Hulett Civic Center for several years, baking peanut butter pies for the carry-in dinners.
Her hobby was making quilts, she made all her children and grandchildren quilts. She also enjoyed her flowers and spending time gardening.
Survivors include her children, Betty (Laverne) Nicholson of Birch Tree, Missouri, Eric (Jeannie) Huseby and Donna (Charles) McAmis, both of Hulett; along with twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and forty-three great-great grandchildren.
Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; three brothers, Maynard, Gerald, Henry and sister, Katherine Russell and her son Warren.
Graveside Services for Muriel were held at the Hulett Cemetery Saturday, September 28, 2013. A reception followed at the Greater Hulett Community Center.
