Dennis, Haiar, Pearson win

Incumbent County Commissioner Kelly Dennis edged out independent challenger and former commissioner Stormy Burch by a 2255 to 1237 margin as the votes were counted late Tuesday night.
In the hotly contested Crook County School Board race, Hulett’s Dena Mills coasted to a 1716 to 1509 win over challenger Otto Schlosser in the race for Hulett trustee while Josie Pearson (1461) and Keith Haiar (1239) were the top vote-getters for the two open Sundance seats. Challengers Tracy Jones, Bob Beaudoin, Peggy Howard and Bob Latham received 1047, 642, 556 and 513 votes respectively. Thayne Gray was unopposed for the open Moorcroft trustee position.
In the race for the Crook County Medical Services District board, Kristie McNealy (1335) came out ahead of incumbent Roger Jones (998) and Peggy Howard (563). Connie Lindmier ran unopposed for the open Hulett seat.
For Museum District, Sheila Semlek (1932), Deelynn Garman (1475) and Rod Knudson (1274) won the three open four-year seats over challengers Cricket Mills (1252) and Arlene Pixley (977). Robert Smoot (1465) and Catherine Cardarelli (958) won seats in the race for the two open two-year terms over Elisa Gilmartin (932) and Herb Lenerville (885).
Ted Parsons (1437) emerged victorious over Matt Goodson (1379) in the race for CCNRD Urban Supervisor while Wayne Garman and Jancie Lumnitz each ran unopposed for the rural and at-large seats.
The district conservation tax was defeated by a 2572 to 924 measure.
Wyoming State Representative Mark Semlek was unopposed while U.S. Senator John Barrasso and U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis each won their races by a wide margin.
