David Wells – 1917-2011

David was born November 23, 1917, in Sundance, Wyoming, to the late David and Florence Wells. He passed away December 20, 2011.

He graduated from Crook County High School in Sundance in 1938. He completed the Teacher’s Training Course in Gillette, Wyoming, in 1940. He taught in Wyoming until he left for California with his three brothers during World War II where they repaired Liberty Ships. After the war, he moved to Little Falls. He and his brother-in -law, Howard Larson, started the Larson & Wells Garage. When he closed the garage in 1972, he taught Automotive Repair at Wright Vocational School in Buffalo, Minnesota. In recent years, he enjoyed his involvement at Little Falls Senior Center.

He is survived by his sons, David (Kathy), Chuck, Tom (Karen) Mark (Tammy) and Dean Wells; daughter, Diane (Glenn) Schlichting; and step-sons, John (Joan), Roger and Howard Wester. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Fran (Mary) and sister, Vera Montgomery; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and by his special friend, Jackie Losen.

He was preceded in death by wives, Margaret, Sylvia and Violet; and step-daughter Sylvia Wester. His parents and brothers, Don, Ed, and Forrest also preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Adam Wester, Shane Wester, Dan Hess, Josh Schlichting, John Wells and Michael Wells.
