This past Thursday, Aug. 30, the Hulett-Sundance cross country team competed in Spearfish. The team was led by the Jace Walker who finished 31st in the varsity division in a time of 20 minutes and 18 seconds for 5K. Dylon Lincoln and Taylor Bjornstead finished in the top 40 in the JV division as they ran the 5K course in 25 minutes and 25 seconds and 26 minutes and 18 seconds respectively. Trevor Birch ran the 4K freshman race and finished 2nd in a time of 15 minutes and 27 seconds. For the girls who competed in a 4K race, Sophia Holst was 6th in the freshman race in a time of 19 minutes and 28 seconds while Cayla Adams finished 10th in the JV division in a time of 21 minutes and 11 seconds. This week the teams compete in Belle Fourche on Thursday afternoon.
