Crook County Fire Warden Gari Gill is asking anyone who is going to burn slash piles or garbage to please notify the Sheriff’s Office (283-1225) or the County Fire Warden (283-2390) prior to burning. Gill says, “Normally it’s not necessary to do so at this time of the year, but after our very busy fire season this summer, folks are still jumpy when seeing smoke and calling it in to the Sheriff. So please make a quick call and let us know about your plans.”
