Buttons and Bows – June 11

 

Buttons and Bows met June 11 at Cori Busenitz’s with fourteen members and twelve children attending. Barb Goodvin called the meeting to order and lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Treasurer’s report was given by treasurer Donna Wolf.

“Thank You” notes were read. Gladys Clark gave “Courtesy and Kindness” report.

A motion was made to donate to the Fair activities and the 4-H program.

It was noted that new wiring in the New Haven Community Building was completed.

The New Haven History book is still in progress.

July 13 is the New Haven community annual picnic. The annual meeting for the New Haven community building will begin at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend. The auction will begin at 5 p.m.; bring any items that you would like to contribute to the auction. Following the auction will be a pot-luck supper with Buttons and Bows contributing wimpies, hot dogs, buns and drinks. Following supper, there will be music supplied by local artist as well as Horseshoes, Volleyball, Soft ball and visiting. Looking forward to seeing old, new and present members of the New Haven community.

Words of Encouragement on how to handle stress was read by Gladys Clark.

A delicious snack was served by Tiny Bush, co-hostess.

Ellie Frisbee was winner of the hostess gift.

A garden tour and tips were given by Cori Busenitz in her bountiful garden with members going home with produce.
