Big weekend begins

Bikes, classic cars and more to roll into town

As the Gold Wing Road Riders Association rolls into town for their annual rally this weekend, Sundance will also be enjoying several other activities and events. The rally includes a number of events that are open to the public, including a light parade traveling through town at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28.
The Sundance Piecemaker’s Annual Quilt Show will take place on Saturday, June 29 at the old high school gym with demonstrations throughout the day and a trunk show at 10 a.m. Meanwhile, the Wheel Festival will celebrate America’s love affair with the automobile, with registration for classic, vintage or custom cars and general or Gold Wing motorcycles opening at 8 a.m. on June 29.
The Sundance Summer Expo will be taking place on June 29 at the fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring products and services from around 45 local vendors and accepting donations for the restoration of Old Stoney. The Hoedown Street Dance will follow on the same evening from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., featuring country music and oldies and a live performance from Elastix.
