Audrey grew up in the Wayne County, Illinois, area. There she met and married her first love Maurice (Tiny) Musgrave September 15, 1944. They shared twenty-four years of marriage and raised two children, a son, Richard and a daughter, Glenna before Maurice’s death December 24, 1968. She was a devoted, loving wife, an extraordinarily patient and a kind and loving mother. She enjoyed anything that involved family and friends being together, had an incredible way with flowers and plants of all kinds, did beautiful needle work and was a faithful, wonderful friend to anyone she encountered. Always ready with an open heart and helping hand to anyone in need.
In 1976 she met, fell in love with, and married L. Dale Crockett, gaining two more daughters, Sue and Carol. They shared 37 years of marriage.
She was employed at the Washakie Hotel and Restaurant in Worland, Wyoming, as the hostess. Later she was employed at Ricker’s Pharmacy until her retirement. After retirement she and Dale moved to Tensleep Canyon during the spring and summer months and Grove, Oklahoma, during the fall and winter months until 2007 when they moved to Upton, Wyoming, to be close to Richard and Glenna
She is survived by her husband, Dale Crockett of Upton; daughter, Glenna (Bob) Riehemann of Upton; four brothers, Bobbie (Darlene) Smith of Fairfield, Illinois, Gary (Darlene Sue) Smith of Cisne, Illinois, Jack (Bonnie) Smith of Wayne City, Illinois, and Tommy Smith of Fairfield; a sister, Dolores (Clyde) Ellis, Bluford, Illinois; two step-daughters, Sue (Joe) Carlisle of Billings, Montana, and Carol Crockett (Ed Bolinger ) of Helena, Montana; ten grandchildren, Michele (Mike) Summers of Hughes Springs, Texas, Laura (Jason) Turner of Newcastle, Wyoming, Tina (Madison) Hansford of Boise, Idaho, Janene (Rob) Werkle of Gillette, Wyoming, Amy Points of Missoula, Chelsie (Scott) Clem of Gillette, Mindy (Scott) Boudreau of Minden, Nebraska, Tara Murdock of Bend, Oregon, Meghan (Andrew) McAdoo of Dallas, Texas, and Alana (Scott) Barber of Billings. Additionally there are seventeen great-grandchildren and twp great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: Her first husband, Maurice (Tiny) Musgrave; her son, Richard Musgrave; and her parents, Flora and Flick Smith.
Audrey was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.
Services were December 27, 2012 at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Upton.
A memorial has been established at Helping Hands Foundation of Weston County (PO Box 99 Upton, WY 82730).
