80 MPH zones ahead

For 40 miles between Sundance and Gillette, I-90 will soon have a speed limit of 80 mph. The posted speed limit is to be increased on nearly 500 miles of Wyoming interstate highway as a result of action taken by the Legislature last winter. The change will require changing or installing more than 125 signs, which will take a few days to complete. WYDOT hopes that the signs will be in place by the July 4 weekend and has asked that motorists be aware the 75 mph limit will still be enforced until the new 80 mph signs are visible.
