Lain runs for Superintendant

Sheryl Lain has announced that she will run for Superintendent of Public Instruction at the upcoming elections. She currently serves as Instructional Leader in the Office of the State Superintendent. If elected, she pledges to put students over systems and work for a focus on instructional leadership, as well as resist efforts to federalize Wyoming’s education system. “Running for State Superintendent is the next natural step in the progression of my more than 40-year career serving in Wyoming’s education system,” Lain says. “As a teacher, administrator and instructional leader, I will lead the Department of Education to serve students, empower parents and trust teachers by focusing on instructional excellence.”
