Ceballos enters Superintendent race

Former President of Qwest Wyoming, Mike Ceballos, will run for the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction this year. “The actions of the current Superintendent, and the attempted remedies that were struck down by the Supreme Court, have all contributed to what is now a dysfunctional department, which is badly in need of leadership,” he said. “I can be that leader.”

His campaign will focus on three priorities: communicating the importance of parents, community organizations and citizens in improving the success of students through increased collaboration between the state and communities; creating a common understanding of the knowledge and skills students must possess to be successful in a global arena; and increasing instructional time by relieving educators of non-instructional duties.
